Canon has recently announced a new line of PowerShot digital cameras. One of them is the new Canon PowerShot SX150 IS Digital Camera. This may be considered as an ideal point and shoot for the casual digital camera user who might also be more budget conscious.

The Canon PowerShot SX150 IS is a 14.1MP point and shoot digital camera that comes with a wide range of useful features for taking great quality images. Aside from having a 14.1 megapixel CCD sensor, this camera also comes with Canon’s DIGIC 4 Image Processor. It is also equipped with a 28mm wide angles lens capable of 12x optical zoom. It can also record in 720p HD video with stereo sound. Other features include an improved Smart AUTO shooting modes and Intelligent IS for better image stabilization. A 3.0 LCD screen allows easy viewing and scrolling through the camera menu. The Canon PowerShot SX150 IS is expected to come out in September at a suggested retail price of US$250.
